Dear Dr. Ward Dean,
do you know if it’s safe to do oral chelation with DMSA, when still having a titanium implant in the brain*?
Kind regards,
Susannah
*(The implants is still there because of a past tumor therapy.)

Hello, Susannah,
I wish I could give you a definitive answer. I’ve never known of anyone to have any problems with chelation with medical implants, including mercury dental fillings. I believe it is probably safe to undergo DMSA chelation therapy with a titanium implant–but that is strictly an educated guess.
